Painting

I am currently working on a piece for the Holmfirth Artweek in July. There's nothing like a time pressure to keep you on your toes!!!

Anyway, thought I'd try white poppies for a change. 

This is currently at stage 2  and now has to dry in order for me to work on top of the first layer of paint.

As usual, it is developing in unexpected ways but I rather like that and it's pretty much how I work most of the time. I like to think of it as 'working organically' as opposed to 'I haven't a clue what I am doing'!!!!
