The inaugural Slaithwaite Country Show...

It was a brilliant day for the show.

Slawit Bob was so busy looking at everydog and enjoying the sunshine that he missed this particular photo opportunity.

Slawit Bob's best friend Smithy was enjoying the sunshine also. He was a bit miffed not to be offered beer...

Slawit Bob was mostly not very interested in walking round correctly - too much going on - and anyway he knew that he was the best puppy in the class so really - why did he need to make an effort?

Slawit Bob is now turning on the charm in an effort to be given the red rosette.

It didn't work.

Well - yellow is a good colour.

And looks good in the sunshine.

Audition

On Saturday it seemed like a good idea to Slawit Bob to get in a bit of practice for the Andrex gig.

He didn't get the job.

Bobby's Sunny Day...

Slawit Bob is mostly enjoying the sunny weather in the garden, in his very favourite spot - where he earlier flattened an entire corner of saxifrage to make a comfy bed for days such as these.

Tulips are always handy to attack and he can practise his barking on unsuspecting passersby. He will be glad when his voice breaks. His barking is an octave too high for his liking and doesn't impress any of the aforementioned passersby....

Work is now completed..

Think I have finally finished Event Horizon 2.

Am rather pleased with it especially the contrast between the descending veil and the floating sun which hangs in eternity...

A Sale!!!

I was very pleased to sell this painting the other week.
It really is absolutely brilliant when someone likes your work so much that they will actually hand over their
hard-earned cash.

And lots of exhibitions coming up - my fingers are firmly crossed - arthritis notwithstanding....

Spring colour

The first colour of the year and most welcome.

But their beauty is so fleeting.

More work on big painting

I feel as though I have made great inroads into this painting at last and have had a very productive afternoon.

I am rather pleased with the way the circular shape seems to float.

I have an urge to break up the bottom space with cobalt blue...
